notably is a global faux celeb community that welcomes celebrities in a variety of fields from various locations. this community will focus on in-character development alongside the glitz and glamor from celebrity life, which means there will be gossip, blind items, upscale events, and interviews that tie all members' stories together.

creativity is the name of the game, and we look forward to accepting a variety of characters at this community, from actors, directors, musicians and pop stars to models and athletes. we are a single claim community, which means you must pick one (1) set of credits for your character. for example, if you want to use seth rogen credits, you will need to include all his comedy and filmmaking work as well as his acting roles.

we may choose to broaden the scope of characters and guidelines as the community grows, but for now we wish to keep it simple for everyone involved.

expectations
we will not tolerate any acts of racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, or any other forms of discrimination, as well as bullying or harassment of any kind. all of the above will result in an automatic ban. please report this behavior to the mods straight away and we will investigate and address the issue immediately. our priority is that everyone feels safe and heard, along with enjoying the experience of creating and developing their faux celeb characters in a community format.

we expect everyone to do their research in ensuring proper representation and will not allow any whitewashing. please use your best judgement when choosing credits and pbs and approach the mod team if you have any concerns.

this should be self-explanatory, but blurring and godmodding are not allowed.

if your updates, bios, and other posts contain sensitive subject matter, please include appropriate trigger warnings.

the bottom line is that we as mods are here to help and want to make sure everyone enjoys themselves and feels respected. please use common courtesy and sense and communicate with your fellow writers. any uncertainty or concerns should be addressed with us, as you have our full support.

applying
to apply, you will need:
★ an ic journal, preferably with minimal to no missing letters and no numbers and underscores
★ an ic friends only post as well as an ooc screened post, both backdated
★ a bio of at least 200 words, including your credit claim linked in a visible area. details for your character can include their history, personality, public perception, headlines, npcs, recent headlines, and fun facts.
when setting up, please keep in mind that all characters, pbs, and claims must be at least 21 years of age.

the 5 year rule is in place, which means your pb's and claim's ages must have a difference of 5 years or less. this also extends to your character's age. please be mindful when aging up or down while observing this rule, as unrealistic inconsistencies in their work may occur.

we reserve the right to reject anyone we may feel isn't the right fit for this community and will not be responding to any inquiries regarding rejections.

activity
intros: you will have 72 hours to post an intro in the main community and reply to all of your comments. failure to do so will result in removal. if you require an extension, we understand, but please be sure to reach out to us in time.

updates: one update is required per month along with participation in one community-wide post (ffas, plot posts, similar activities). please ensure your updates are substantial; while you can make social media posts, we would like to see more than just photos and minimal writing. examples for updates can include but are not limited to narratives, interviews, articles, playlists, moodboards, free for alls, and community-wide events and activities. you may find all sorts of resources to help and inspire you over at ~writer.

for added context, if you are added to the community between the 1st and 20th of the month, your intro will not count as activity. however, if you are added between the 20th and the end of the month, your intro will count as your activity for the month.

removals: we will conduct removals on the first of every month. in addition to updating and being active on the friends page, please remember to update your friends list regularly, as we will remove members with outdated friends lists every 10 days.

hiatuses and extensions: we understand that real life circustances may prevent you from being active at times. if you need a hiatus or an extension, please reach out to us in the members post and we'll assist accordingly.

off-site apps: we do not allow the use of off-site messaging apps, like wire, telegram, etc., for ic communication. please only interact via your journals and do your best to interact with other members on the friends page.
